Lesson 7 Learn Arabic With Maha

Today we are going to view lesson 7, learning arabic with Maha.


We are going to cover how to say the three important social words, which are..

-excuse me
- Thank You
- I am sorry.

Although in the lesson we translate the meaning from english, but in the actual usage, the phases are not directly similar.

- excuse me - in Arabic we say a'fwan

- Thank You - Shukran

- I am sorry - if he is saying it, he will use the male word aasef.. . If she is saying it, she has to use the female word of .."aasefa".

The Arabic language makes the differentiation between male and female wording.

A Glance at The History of Arabic Language

I am interested in the Arabic Language.

There is not many language that are widely spoken today and the text of AD600 are still read and well understood.

I am trying to compare with the English Classic literature. Search the google for the old text, this is what I found..

Reading the above, I do not have a clue of what it says, it is as good as a dead language.

I can read the arabic which was written 15 centuries. I have to say that the Arabic must be smarter to be able to make the language comprehensible despite the length of time.
